Using Aqua Energy's nozzle to mix high pressure water and an abrasive, it is possible to economically cut a wide variety of materials such as metal, glass, plastic, rubber, concrete or
stone at pressures of 690 bar (10,000 psi) to 2,800 bar (40,600psi). This means that a water-jetting pump will be capable of work which in the past required 4,000bar (60,000 psi).
The lightweight pipe cutter can be set up easily by one or two men in the field. Designed to operate from a horizontal or a vertical position, the whole system is held in place during cutting phase by a wrap around chains and a four-wheel drive system. Hoses bring high pressure water and abrasives to the focusing nozzle where they mix to form a high efficiency low cost abrasive waterjet.
Faster cutting speeds in addition to improved surface finishes are achievable with Aqua Energy's Pipe cutting system using inexpensive abrasives such as copper slag, sand. Improved cutting is obtained by using garnet etc.
The cutter can be adapted indoor or out to cut a variety of materials and thickness at varying angles depending on the volume and pressure or water available. The cutter will work in conjunction with an ordinary water jetting pump unit at pressures from 10 to 41,000 psi. Rotation of the cutter around the pipe is via hydraulic power with variable speed control valve.
Whenever there is a danger of fire or explosion when cutting a pipe or tank, or when high quality distortion free surface is required. Aqua Energy's abrasive waterjet pipe cutting system will perform the task.
